The Deutsche Manufakturenstrasse is a holiday route which spans 3.000 km through the whole of Germany - from the Baltic Sea to Lake Constance - running along numerous traditional German manufactory sites. The aim of the Deutsche Manufakturenstrasse is the preservation of manufactories in Germany as well as the fostering of the social and political awareness of their importance as bearer of Germany's material cultural heritage.
The portal will be launched at the 20th of February 2015 on the occasion of the opening of the "Handmade in Germany" exhibition in Moscow at the Museum of Applied and Folk Art. Read
